1940 Ford Tudor Sedan

Here is my latest purchase. A 1940 Ford Standard Tudor Sedan. The picture above is what it looked like the day it arrived on the transport from Grand Rapids, Michigan. I bought it from the second owner. The first owner sold it to him in '97. It's a solid complete rust free car, but it wasn't much to look at when we first got it. I think it needs a can of elbow grease!

This is what it looks like after a major cleaning, polishing, wheels, tires and getting the suspension lowered about 3 inches. I think it made a little difference. I like the HotRod look alot more than original.

I really wanted to build this car with the old school HotRod look to it. I've always thought that the dressed out flathead engine was one of the coolest looking engines around. Maybe not the fastest, but the coolest. It has Offenhauser heads and a dual carb intake with Stromberg 97 carbs. It also has a Mallory dual point distributor.

The interior has been totally redone in real leather. I found this restored steering wheel on eBay. It's from a '46 Super Deluxe Ford, and I added the blue suicide knob. I think it gives the interior the old hotrod look. Who needs power steering?
